Watch young innovators pitch life-changing ideas inspired by their regions — judged by Ghana’s top minds, including Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, Nana Hemaa Awindor, Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann and many others, hosted by Okyeame Kwame.

Meet your Host

Okyeame Kwame

Okyeame Kwame, born Kwame Nsiah-Apau and famously known as the "Rap Doctor," is a multi-award-winning Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is celebrated for his influential role in Ghanaian music, his dedication to education, and his passionate social and environmental activism.

A dedicated activist, Okyeame Kwame founded the Okyeame Kwame Foundation to provide free hepatitis B screening and vaccination for the less fortunate in Ghana. He serves as a UN SDG ambassador for climate change, promotes "Made in Ghana" products, and is known for his commitment to veganism and self-love. He is the elder brother of fellow rappers Flowking Stone and Kunta Kinte (of Bradez).

The Audition Process

Show Your Talent. Pitch Your Idea. Represent Your Region.

Hype My Region (HMR) auditions give youth the chance to turn local ideas into national opportunities. Participants showcase talents, innovations or business ideas that harness the resources and culture of their regions.

Step 1.

Submit your entry

Complete the audition form and send a 60-second video introducing yourself, your project or your idea. Include your region, category and a short bio before the deadline - 31st December 2025.

Step 2.

Screening & Shortlisting

Entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts, traditional leaders and business mentors. Selected applicants will be contacted for the next stage - regional auditions or virtual interviews.

Step 3.

Regional Auditions

Shortlisted candidates will audition live during regional festivals. This is your opportunity to present your idea, engage the judges and connect with community and media partners

Step 4.

Selection for the Reality TV Show

Top participants from each region will feature in the 16-Episodic HMR TV Reality Show, showcasing their projects, leadership and creativity

Step 5.

Grand Finale

Finalists compete for national recognition, funding support and the chance to win up to GHS 100,000 plus mentorship through YESEE (Youth Empowerment and Skills Enhancement Enterprise) Network.
